We have come across this fun tree house and had to share!
This tree house designed and built by Spanish based Urbanarbolismo, takes the idea of the backyard tree house to the next level. This tree house was no DIY project. Urbanarbolismo used great care in the design and building of the house. In order to create a design that worked perfectly within the tree’s branches they employed photogrammetry to make an accurate 3D model of the tree. The model allowed them to create a design with little disruption to the tree. In fact, no branch was cut during the process and the tree remains intact.
The house uses stabilizers to bear the weight of the house without putting stress on the tree itself. The house is full of light thanks to ample windows. Heather was used for the thatched roof and the house is clad in untreated cork. The carefully selected materials give the house an organic feel that looks like it grew directly from the tree.
We certainly wouldn’t mind grabbing a good book and heading up to the treehouse for a little R & R! This is a great escape right in your own backyard.
