A NEW PORTSMOUTH RESTAURANT!

As we have written about before, TMS Architects has been involved in the evolution of Regeneration Park since the beginning of its transformation from a Toyota dealership into a sustainable, multi-use green office, restaurant and retail building.  The restaurant, Demeters Steakhouse,  recently opened and below are some glimpses of the sophisticated interiors. Some of the more interesting features are their enomatic wine machines imported from Italy. Demeters features 40 wines by the glass and using food grade argon gas to filter through the bottles, all their wines are never exposed to oxygen and stay as fresh as when the bottle was first opened.

The chef’s table area with a view of the open kitchen.  The curved steel beam was created from an old “found” steel beam on site in the wood and reclaimed to be used for separation and as an interesting visual element.  LED downlights in the kitchen create warm but functional lighting.

Demeters bar and banquette seating on the right.  Colorful liquor shelving is visible from the street and the curved mahogany light rail above the bar top helps to light the area as well as bring the eye down to TV level.
