Usually when TMS Architects is in the news it is usually showcasing a beautiful home we designed or perhaps an historic renovation we spear headed. However, this week our own Buffi Robbins is in the news for some of her creative uses of social media. Buffi is the Business and Marketing Director here at TMS Architects and the woman behind our beautiful photography and advertising campaigns. Buffi was interviewed for the Magazine of The American Institute of Architects for an article on architects using Pinterest.
Pinterest serves two purposes for architectural firms. First, it allows architects to share photos of their work with a very large audience. Second, it is a great way for architects and clients to share design ideas and photos. Gone are the days when clients tore photos out of magazines to help communicate ideas about architectural features they wanted in their homes. Pinterest allows you to organize photos and ideas so you can easily share them with your architect right on-line.
Here is what Buffi Robbins had to say about TMS Architects use of Pinterest:
The site is picking up steam among firms who do residential work. Buffi Robbins, business manager for TMS Architects in Portsmouth, N.H., set up the firm’s account four months ago as a way to showcase (and market) its project work. “We made a commitment a long time ago to photography,” she says. “We have this amazing library of pictures, which is why we are at an enviable spot in Pinterest because we have a lot to draw from.”
