Project: Canterbury Shaker Village Visitor Center, Canterbury, NH

This is the completed Visitor's Center at Canterbury Village. The TMS plan carried out the historic nature of the environment seamlessly integrating into its surroundings. The interior of the building is modern, yet respects and incorporates the spirit of Shaker culture. The craftsmanship is representational of the Shaker's attention to detail and use of indigenous materials. The floor is 3/8" Schist, a granite-like material that was assembled, on-site, with precise skill. The red paint seen on the rafters was replicated from existing paint colors found on walls in the village.
