A full-time residence built along the river’s edge, Cove Light is a crisp, light-filled home that balances modern sensibilities with nods to coastal tradition. Inspired by the homeowner’s service in the U.S. Coast Guard, the interiors subtly reference maritime design—through brass hardware, polished wood details, and custom nautical elements like a Compass Rose decal and a turquoise mosaic tile feature in the kitchen.

The design blends bright, clean finishes with warm wood tones, creating a welcoming environment that is both functional and expressive. Shades of blue and white carry throughout the home, punctuated by playful pops of color that reflect the homeowner’s vibrant taste.

The layout emphasizes flow and connection: an open-concept first floor embraces natural light and sweeping water views, while a guest suite above the garage and a bunk room provide flexibility for hosting. Family heirlooms, including a beloved red dining set, add a layer of personal history to the space.

Notably, this home is nearly self-sufficient, utilizing geothermal energy, solar panels, triple-pane windows, and an elevator for long-term accessibility.
